It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day for you to send your significant other aromantic text message. Any time you want to set the mood before you get together, or any time you want to remind them that you’ve got the hots for them is perfect for a romantic text. I’ve found that most couples find romantic text messages a great way to communicate their feelings, especially when one or both partners are at work or otherwise unable to make a phone call.
Say it Right
I’m going to give you a number of great examples of romantic messages, but I can’t say this enough: personalize! A personalized message means a whole lot more than a form letter. Also, feel free to change some wording around to make the text better reflect your voice, or how you would put it. If you just copy things then it will be more cheesy and sarcastic than sincere.
Ways to Say It
There are a ton of different ways to inject some romance into your text messages. Use words like, “darling,” or any other pet name you may have for one another. You can start with phrases like, “I miss you,” “Thinking of you,” or “I love you,” but the more complicated you get, the sweeter the ideas. Sure, sometimes you can come off as corny, but the sentiment is clear. In fact, you can maximize the corny-ness for laughs; just make sure that he or she knows that you’re not being serious!
Give longer phrases a shot! An easy one is, “I matched a reason for loving you to each leaf on a tree outside. It was great until I ran out of leaves.” You can get longer, with something like, “I miss the laughs, I miss the talks, but most of all, I miss YOU!” If you want to go for a really cheesy line, try, “Sometimes my eyes get jealous of my heart because you’re so close to it.”
Making your own is easy, too. Just think about how much you like that special somebody, and relate how much you like them to how much you like something else. For example, relate that persons beauty to that of springtime flowers. Compare their good traits with seasons and other beautiful things. It’s like text poetry!
Any Time is a Good Time
Sending off a romantic text to your special somebody is a super easy, convenient way to let them know that they’re on your mind. Plus, it’s a great way to affirm your attraction without incurring the responsibility of a conversation. Romantic texts are perfect for when you’re at work but still want to let him or her know how much you appreciate them. If you’re having trouble figuring out the perfect thing to say, then check out
